Biography:
Reiji Yamanaka is managing director of KIBOW Social Impact Investment, which he co-founded to support social-purpose startups in Japan beginning with Fund No. 1. As a GLOBIS lecturer, he teaches MBA courses on entrepreneurship and social innovation.
Reiji’s expertise spans entrepreneurship, venture capital, and business development. He began his career at Canon, later joining GLOBIS Capital Partners as a venture capitalist and gaining hands-on experience at two healthcare startups.
In the social sector, he serves as a board director at STORIA, a nonprofit supporting children in Sendai.
Reiji holds a BA in Economics from Hitotsubashi University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
