GLOBIS Hosts Professor Ulrike Schaede Seminar on Japan’s Business Reinvention in Tokyo

On October 14, GLOBIS Europe welcomed Professor Ulrike Schaede, UC San Diego professor of Japanese Business, for an in-person seminar in Tokyo on the business reinvention of Japan. She delivered the session in Japanese, explaining how Japanese companies are reshaping global competitiveness.

Inspired by Mainoumi, the sumo wrestler known for defeating larger opponents through creativity and precision, Professor Schaede showed how leaders can succeed through strategy, skill, and adaptability rather than size or speed.

Over 60 participants attended and joined a lively Q&A, creating an energetic exchange about the current state of Japanese business.
