Why did you decide to pursue an MBA?
Everyone reaches a stage in life where change is necessary or even inevitable. For me, that moment came after I got divorced from my first husband and decided to put extra effort into myself and my career. I was managing people and wanted to become the best possible version of a people manager.
What were the most impactful courses for you at GLOBIS?
All the courses were impactful in their own way, depending on the type of impact I was looking for in my life and career. The most immediate impact came from the HRM course, which helped me improve as a manager. Longer-term impacts came from Entrepreneurial Leadership, Strategy, and Customer Insight & Branding. The knowledge and skills I gained during the MBA continue to shape my career, even as I’ve transitioned into a completely different role.
How did the GLOBIS MBA help you grow personally and professionally?
- Personally: I gained lifelong friends who share a common spirit of change and global connection. Despite being busy and living in different parts of the world, we stay in touch and support each other. Having such friends has been invaluable.
- Professionally: The MBA gave me a broad perspective that goes beyond being tied to one company for life. It made me fiercely independent and constantly on the lookout for better opportunities and challenges. This mindset keeps me positive and successful.
What advice would you give to someone considering the GLOBIS MBA?
I would recommend starting with a Pre-MBA course to experience how amazing it is firsthand. I even ended up studying for an extra year because I enjoyed it so much!
