Kazunori Inabe

Kazunori Inabe 

Astellas Innovation Management LLC. – Senior Director, Head of Partnering Process Management

Kazunori Inabe currently serves as Senior Director, Head of Partnering Process Management at Astellas Innovation Management LLC in San Francisco. 

He started his career as an assistant professor at Kansai Medical University. After his academic career, he moved to California as Investment Director at his current company. At the same time, he started his MBA at GLOBIS University to gain practical business knowledge and to expand his business network. After graduating from GLOBIS, he was promoted from senior manager to senior director at Astellas Innovation Management. Now he is in charge of R&D partnership and medical discovery through biotech companies and academic institutions.  

After his MBA, together with his classmates, he contributed to translating Youmei-gaku (Wang Yangming’s philosophy) from Japanese to English which is available on Amazon.com ). He enjoys skating in his spare time. 

Iris Garvilles 

Amgen Inc.-Global Publications Planning Lead, R&D department

Before she joined the GLOBIS Full-time MBA, she was a leader in Training and Development in the Philippines and had worked as an Environmental Scientist. Eager for growth and adventure, she decided to join the Full-time MBA program. To maximize her learning experience, she collaborated on projects with Tokyu, Lixil and Omron through a corporate program and was given the opportunity to apply what she learned during her internship opportunity at Ricoh.  

Currently, Iris Garvilles serves as Global Publications Planning Lead in the R&D department at Amgen (Fortune 500 Biotech company based in California). Her role allows her to support strategic efforts to further science to support patients and ensure key clinical data is shared. 

The MBA degree allowed her to qualify and transition to various roles and negotiate offers. The knowledge gained allowed her to actual her potential in decision making, finance, strategic planning and continuous improvement solutions. She also values her network gained at GLOBIS. Even after graduation, she continues to communicate with her contacts. To share her Globis experience, she has recommended the university to others who have joined the program and graduated. 

Now, she is currently based in Hawaii, US and sends happy vibes to the GLOBIS community.
