When I decided to attend an MBA program, I conducted several rounds of research to fully understand what was available in the market at that time and to identify the best option that would satisfy my learning needs.

I was eager to learn new things and wanted to be able to apply them as much as possible. I was working in a Japanese organization, which exposed me to complex challenges on a daily basis, so I understood that an “ordinary academic” MBA would not be a suitable option for me. I needed an MBA that could deliver academic theory blended with a professional, practice-based approach. As a potential working student, I recognized that GLOBIS could offer the knowledge and insights useful to my professional career and personal growth.

It may sound silly, but the most memorable moment was the one just after the graduation ceremony. The goal I had been working toward was achieved, and a feeling of full and pure satisfaction came over me.

It was like going to a theater show and, at the end, the curtains close on the stage. In that precise moment, something is over, but you realize you’ve gradually turned into a different person during the show, because your brain and your emotional side have been stimulated.

I sacrificed a lot in terms of time, even sleep sometimes. I tackled subjects I was not familiar with, which really stretched my skills, but I ended up being a richer person in terms of both relationships and expertise.

I was a different and more capable person than the one I was before attending the GLOBIS MBA. It was still me, but a better me, ready to face new challenges.

GLOBIS helped me achieve personal and professional goals by helping me understand that not only can we look at problems from different perspectives (which is a fairly obvious thing to say), but we can also take action from those alternative perspectives, even when they don’t feel comfortable because they are outside your comfort zone or just not the way you usually do things.
