Biography:
Venkataraman Sriram is currently an advisor to Nihon Unisys Ltd. and Macnica Fuji Electronics Holdings Inc. He is an active supporter of startups looking to scale their businesses and works as an angel investor.
He started his career in IT when computers were still large enough to occupy a whole floor of a building and has witnessed the rapid impact of technology over the last thirty years. In his last corporate assignment, he was head of the Japan business of a leading global consulting and IT services firm. He came to Japan in 1997, and over the years has been responsible for starting and building businesses in Australia, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
He is a founding member of TiE Japan, the world’s largest NPO promoting entrepreneurship, and is a director of the Indian Commerce and Industry Association, Japan.
Venkataraman is an active guest speaker at various public events. Driven by the positive impact of technology, he enjoys working at the intersection of technology and business.
